The Trustees of the IFRS Foundation have confirmed the appointment and reappointment of several organisations and representatives to the IFRS Advisory Council.

The Advisory Council provides strategic advice to the Trustees, the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) and the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB).

It comprises representatives from more than 50 organisations with interests in international corporate reporting and with diverse functional and geographical backgrounds. Except for a small number of individual appointments, the Advisory Council membership is held by the organisation concerned.

The European Commission, Japan’s Financial Services Agency and the United States Securities and Exchange Commission attend the Advisory Council meetings as observers.

Members stepping down

Following a temporary increase of representation by the World Bank and the UN Development Programme to coincide with the creation of the ISSB, these organisations will be represented by one member each from 2026.
