The IFRS Foundation Trustees have today announced that International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) Vice-Chair Jingdong Hua and ISSB member Hiroshi Komori will serve as Senior Advisers to ISSB Chair Emmanuel Faber following the conclusion of their terms as board members on 30 September 2026. In these unpaid positions, they will provide strategic advice and continue supporting the ISSB's stakeholder engagement.
Following work to complete the Foundation's five-year operating and financing plan and the successful completion of senior leadership succession arrangements, the Trustees' Nominating Committee is now in the final stages of its process for ISSB member reappointments.
The other board members whose terms ended on 30 September will continue serving in their roles while the process is finalised. A further update on board reappointments will be announced shortly.
Emmanuel Faber said:
Our progress in developing the global baseline of sustainability disclosures would not have been possible without the dedication of our board. I want to express my personal thanks to Jingdong and Hiroshi for their contribution to our success and for their generosity in giving up their time to serve as Senior Advisers.
