The International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) held a live webinar during the UN Convention on Biological Diversity—COP17—on Thursday, 22 October 2026 to mark the launch of the Exposure Draft proposing a Practice Statement on nature-related disclosures. The proposals are open for a 120-day consultation ending on 19 February 2027.
The webinar explained the ISSB’s approach and how the proposed Practice Statement is intended to support companies in applying IFRS S1 to nature-related risks and opportunities. It also covered how the proposals draw on the extensive efforts of the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) and support proportionate implementation.
