In this episode of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) podcast, ISSB Chair Emmanuel Faber and ISSB Vice-Chair Sue Lloyd discuss the latest developments from the ISSB.

Emmanuel and Sue look ahead to the ISSB’s three priorities for 2024:

  • supporting the implementation of the ISSB Standards,
  • working with jurisdictions on their adoption roadmaps; and
  • finalising the ISSB’s two-year work plan.

They also discussed recent progress on technical work, including the discussion at the January 2024 joint IASB-ISSB meeting. Hear about this in more detail in a special podcast episode with Sue and IASB Vice-Chair Linda Mezon-Hutter.

In the ISSB podcast, Emmanuel and Sue also spoke about highlights from the last month, including Emmanuel’s appearance at Davos and how the ISSB is taking over responsibility for climate monitoring from the TCFD.

Finally, they looked ahead to the upcoming board week and the IFRS Sustainability Symposium, taking place in February in New York City.
