The 2026 Beijing International Sustainability Conference, hosted by the IFRS Foundation, will take place on 23 April 2026 at the Multi-Function Hall of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), Beijing.
The conference aims to provide an open platform for multilateral dialogue and to support stakeholders across Asia in deepening their understanding of the ISSB Standards.
The conference will bring together representatives from government departments, regulators, companies, investors, academic institutions and relevant international organisations from around the world. Focusing on the theme Resilient Business, Shaping the Future: Promoting High-quality Adoption and Application of ISSB Standards Across Borders, discussions will explore a range of important topics, including:
- regulatory approaches to support global comparability and high-quality disclosures, drive greater alignment and companies’ implementation across the region;
- the role of multilateral development finance institutions in supporting application of the ISSB Standards;
- the use of ISSB Standards to support investors’ decision making; and
- company best practice for making decision-useful sustainability disclosures.
The ISSB Chair, Vice-Chair, and ISSB members will also attend.
