The IFRS Foundation and the Nacional de la Junta de Decanos de los Colegios de Contadores (JDCCPP) are holding a joint IFRS conference at the Sheraton Lima Hotel in Peru on 3 and 4 November 2016.
This English- and Spanish-language conference offers a unique opportunity to be updated by the IASB on its active projects as well as on its future plans in financial reporting.
Presenters include Hans Hoogervorst (IASB Chairman), IASB members—Amaro Gomes and Gary Kabureck—a senior IASB technical staff and other IFRS experts.
Technical break-out sessions conducted by IASB members and IFRS experts will provide a forum to discuss major projects such as IFRS 9 Financial Instruments, IFRS 15 Revenue from Contracts with Customers and the new Standard, IFRS 16 Leases in more detail. Separate expert panel discussions, dedicated to the topical financial reporting issues of Consistant Application and the Future of Corporate Reporting will also take place during the conference.
In addition, a pre-conference special interest session—Fair Value Measurement and Other Cross-cutting Measurement Issues will be held from 09:30—12:00 on Thursday 3 November.
