Investors need information about nature-related risks and opportunities to price them and allocate capital effectively. IFRS S1 General Requirements for Disclosure of Sustainability-related Financial Information already requires companies to disclose material information about sustainability-related risks and opportunities, including nature-related risks and opportunities.

You are invited to join an ISSB webinar live during the UN Convention on Biological Diversity—COP17—on Thursday 22 October 2026 at 16:00 CEST / 18:00 AMT to mark the launch of the Exposure Draft proposing a Practice Statement on nature-related disclosures, which will be open for a 120-day consultation ending on 19 February 2027.

The webinar will explain the ISSB’s approach and how the proposed Practice Statement is intended to support companies in applying IFRS S1 to nature-related risks and opportunities. It will also cover topics including how the proposals draw on the extensive efforts of the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) and support proportionate implementation.

The session will feature:

  • Sue Lloyd, ISSB Vice-Chair;
  • Himani Phadke, ISSB Executive Technical Director;
  • Yulia Feygina, IASB Technical Director - Connectivity;
  • Neil Stewart, ISSB Director of Corporate Outreach, moderating.
