The IFRS Foundation has today announced the global launch of the ISSB Training Partner Programme, which enables qualified organisations to deliver official training on applying IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards (ISSB Standards).
The Training Partner Programme is open to selected organisations that are authorised and supported to deliver approved training content using IFRS Foundation-developed materials. The Foundation has recruited an initial cohort of Training Partners for the launch and is now inviting applications from further partners around the world to join the programme.
Through this programme, the Foundation is launching ISSB Disclosure Training, a new practical education course to be delivered by Training Partners, designed to help companies understand and apply ISSB Standards.
With more than 40 jurisdictions in the process of adopting or otherwise using ISSB Standards, there is strong demand for training to support their application. The training course is designed to meet this demand by providing practical knowledge in their application.
It is aimed at preparers of sustainability-related financial disclosures—including sustainability, finance and reporting professionals—and their advisers. The bespoke learning materials are drawn directly from ISSB Standards and related materials.
ISSB Vice-Chair Sue Lloyd said:
The IFRS Foundation is committed to supporting the understanding and high-quality application of ISSB Standards. The ISSB Training Partner Programme, which will deliver the ISSB Disclosure Training course, is central to delivering on that commitment.
