The IFRS Foundation has published a suite of fresh educational resources to help stakeholders learn, apply and implement the third edition of the IFRS for SMEs Accounting Standard. 

The available educational resources include 11 modules, five webcasts and three podcast episodes.

Educational modules

The modules provide explanations and examples to improve understanding of the requirements in the Standard, identify the significant judgement applied in applying those requirements and include comparison with the requirements in full IFRS Accounting Standards.

Other resources

Other resources available to support the implementation of the third edition of the Standard include:

  • Project Summary—summarises the second comprehensive review of the Standard that resulted to its third edition;
  • Feedback Statement and Effects Analysis—the feedback statement outlines the most important matters stakeholders raised in the comment letters and in other feedback during the second comprehensive review of the Standard and the effects analysis sets out how the IASB has assessed the likely costs and benefits for SMEs and the users of their financial statements of implementing the amendments to the Standard; and
  • Marked-up version of the Standard—presents the third edition of the Standard with changes since the second edition of the Standard marked up.
