About the role
Job purpose: We are looking for a dynamic and proactive Communications Associate to join our international team at the IFRS Foundation. In this role, you will play an important part in executing our global communications strategy for the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB).

The IASB develops research-based and globally accepted Accounting Standards used by more than 150 jurisdictions. It works with a wide range of stakeholders around the world to strengthen financial reporting and foster trust in the marketplace, helping investors to make better decisions.
Reports to: Director of Communications to the IASB
Principal accountabilities
- Work with technical teams to execute communications campaigns for consultations and new IFRS Accounting Standards.
- Translate complex information into clear and accessible content for the website, social media and other channels.
- Oversee the production of audio-visual materials relating to IASB projects, including creating infographics and performing basic editing.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) communications team to ensure consistent messaging across the IASB and the ISSB.
- Monitor media coverage and social media sentiment to gauge the effectiveness of communications campaigns.
- Support the planning and management of multiple communications projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of all outputs.
- Engage regularly with technical teams both formally and informally to build strong stakeholder relationships.
- Read board papers and watch board meetings to gain a strong understanding of IASB topics.
- Support the Director of Communications in ad hoc projects, as necessary.
Qualifications and experience
- Master’s degree or a relevant graduate-level qualification is preferred.
- Relevant work experience in communications, preferably in a financial or regulatory environment, would be valuable.
- Experience in writing for different media channels or in writing about complex subjects for non-specialist audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience in creating infographics on Canva.
- Ability to understand technical subject areas.
- Some experience in editing software or the willingness to learn basic editing software for podcasts and talking-head videos.
- Proficient in PowerPoint.
