About the role

Team: External Affairs
Reports to: Director of Communications—Stakeholder Engagement

As the Communications Manager: Stakeholder Engagement at the IFRS Foundation, you manage the development and execution of the IFRS Foundation’s plans to engage with stakeholders at sustainability-focused events internationally.

You will be responsible for identifying the key sustainability-related events around the world at which the IFRS Foundation should be in attendance, helping ensure the ISSB is effectively reaching key stakeholders globally, to drive awareness of the ISSB’s work.

You will be responsible for identifying sessions and panels within events that best align to the IFRS Foundation’s agenda and actively pitching the IFRS Foundation’s participation.

Furthermore, you will be responsible for reviewing the inbound requests the IFRS Foundation receives, making recommendations as to whether the IFRS Foundations should provide a speaker for the event, and if so, which IFRS Foundation representative would be best placed to speak.

Once a speaking slot has been agreed, you will be responsible for working with the IFRS Foundation representative to help with preparation, including attending prep calls and providing presentation and speech-writing support where needed.

You will therefore have strong communication skills, with the ability to get to grips with communicating highly technical concepts. You will have impeccable attention to detail, project management skills and verbal and written communication.
