About the Role

Reports to: Director of Membership

At the IFRS Foundation, the Membership Manager will support the growth of our membership program – the IFRS Sustainability Alliance – with an eye towards strengthening our member engagement as we establish a global baseline for sustainability disclosure. You will also be involved in relationship management, planning member events, and supporting the work of the IFRS Foundation to develop a comprehensive global baseline of sustainability disclosures for the capital markets.

You believe that the most effective approach to membership management starts with understanding your members’ priorities and their motivations for working with the IFRS Foundation. You’re passionate about the growth of sustainability-related data and integrated reporting among companies and investors and look forward to playing a role in engaging with those who are still learning more about this space. You recognize that the best membership programs leverage the strengths and assets of the entire organization, not just the membership team, and you’re willing to find ways to bring others within the organization into members’ experiences with the IFRS Foundation.

Key Responsibilities

Member Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Serve as primary contact and relationship manager within the IFRS Foundation for a subset of IFRS Sustainability Alliance members
  • Educate members and prospects about the work of the IFRS Foundation and the International Sustainability Standards Board
  • Proactively contact members with news and materials that align with their expressed interests and priorities. Facilitate introductions to peer-members, when relevant
  • Determine strategy for regular engagement with members, including collaborating on member communications and events
  • Oversee the development of select member events and programming, including but not limited to policy briefings, academic webinars, in-person networking and investor- and corporate- specific workshops

Data Management and Data Analytics

  • Contribute to existing systems to ensure good record-keeping for member status and contact information
  • Support the tracking of touchpoints with organizational members to efficiently and accurately report KPIs related to member engagement

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • At least 4 years of experience managing high-touch relationships with members, clients, or other stakeholders
  • Strongly preferred- experience working with one or more of the following audiences: investment analysts/portfolio managers, corporate financial analysts, sustainability professionals, consultants. Comfort and credibility with them these audiences is critical – either comfort and credibility that exists today or can be cultivated quickly
  • Commitment to the mission of the IFRS Foundation and the International Sustainability Standards Board
  • Proficiency with Salesforce and/or WordPress is a plus
  • Experience with event planning a plus
