About the Role

Reports to: Director of Membership

On 3 November 2021, the IFRS Foundation Trustees announced the creation of a new standard-setting board—the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB)—to help meet the demand from international investors for high quality, transparent, reliable and comparable reporting by companies on climate and other environmental, social and governance (ESG) matters. The ISSB builds on the success of the IASB as well as the work of the Climate Disclosure Standards Board and the Value Reporting Foundation (formerly IIRC and SASB), which both consolidated with the IFRS Foundation in 2022.

At the IFRS Foundation, the Membership & Engagement Associate will support the growth of the membership program – the IFRS Sustainability Alliance – with an eye towards strengthening member engagement as we establish a global baseline for sustainability disclosure. This position is a chance to own membership operations with customer-facing exposure, which is a great base of experience for career paths in client management, relationship management, or project management.

This position will be the go-to person for managing the customer experience for both organizational and individual members of the IFRS Sustainability Alliance. You will answer customers’ questions and solve any problems they might encounter. In addition to customer-facing work, you recognize that effective systems and processes behind-the-scenes are the only way the IFRS Foundation can successfully support 360+ organizational members of the IFRS Sustainability Alliance. This position will be the operations lead in a larger team that manages the organizational membership program.
