Andrew is BDO’s Global Head of IFRS and leads a team of partners and staff from the international BDO network. He is a member of BDO’s global IFRS committee which has members drawn from a range of significant BDO member firms worldwide and promotes the consistent global interpretation and application of IFRS.
Andrew is former member of the IFRS Advisory Council (2008-13) and has been a member of the IASB/FASB joint Transition Resource Group for revenue recognition. He is also a member of the Federation of European Accountants (FEE) Corporate Reporting Policy Group and the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAS) Accounting Standards Committee, and an independent member of the UK Government Financial Reporting Advisory Board.
Before joining BDO in 2004, Andrew spent 12 years at KPMG, initially in audit and transaction services in the UK and Eastern Europe before moving to a technical accounting role in 2000. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1991, having trained with a long established Scottish firm, Alexander Sloan & Co.
