Mr Bertrand Allard is Senior Advisor at the Economic Research Group of Crédit Agricole, focussing on Industrial sectors as well as on Accounting and Financial Analysis from a user perspective. He is also co-Chairman of the SFAF’s (The French Society of Financial Analysts) Accounting and Financial Analysis Commission.
Mr Allard is also a member of the Financial Accounting Commission of EFFAS (The European Federation of Financial Analysts Societies). As a user of financial information he is a member of the Consultative Working Group for ESMA’s Corporate Reporting Standing Committee and member of the Consultative Committee of the French ‘Autorité des normes comptables’ (the French accounting standard setter). Mr Allard teaches valuation at the SFAF Centre for Financial Analysis Training, preparing financial analysts for the CIIA® exams. He also taught valuation and financial analysis for various French business schools, and has published numerous articles in the French professional review Analyse Financière.
Prior to his current assignment, Mr Allard worked as a Senior Industry Analyst for Crédit Agricole CIB and then at Crédit Agricole SA Industrial Research Group, where he was responsible for various industrial sectors.
Mr Allard is a graduate engineer from Ecole Centrale de Paris and holds a Master’s degree in economics from Paris I Panthéon—Sorbonne University.
