Vania Maria da Costa Borgerth is a Special Advisor for Corporate Reporting and Corporate Governance to the CEO at the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES).
She represents BNDES, which is Brazil’s national bank for economic and social development, on the IFRS Advisory Council. BNDES is the primary domestic source of long term financing in the Brazilian economy.
Her previous roles include Head Accountant, Investor Relations Officer and Financial Analyst as well as being responsible for the implementation of IFRS at BNDES.
Alongisde her current role she is also a member of the Brazilian Delegation at the United Nations's Group of International Specialist on Accounting Reporting, a Brazilian Representative of the Consultative Advisory Group of the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board and a co-ordinator for the Brazilian Network for Integrated Reporting.
