Find out more

We offer the opportunity for Board members and key IFRS Foundation staff to speak at conferences or to participate in panel discussions.

To submit a speaking engagement request please complete the relevant form below and return it to speakingrequests@ifrs.org. If your request is for a Board or staff member to speak in Japan, please use the Asia-Oceania form.

Please note that we receive many requests of this nature, and that as a not-for-profit, public interest organisation, the IFRS Foundation will normally charge to speak at conferences organised on a commercial basis. Please allow ten working days to receive a response to your request.

Licensing the IFRS Foundation's intellectual property

The IFRS Foundation generates an important part of its income from the use of Foundation’s intellectual property (IP). This includes its content and trade marks, and the processes required for seeking permission to reproduce any of our IP are outlined below.

As the originator and owner of IFRS Standards, including IAS Standards, IFRIC Interpretations and SIC Interpretations (collectively the ‘Standards’), we engage in licensing our Standards to third parties wishing to reproduce them in their own products and services or distribute them in different jurisdictions.

Our main focus is licensing the Standards to third parties wishing to use the content for commercial purposes. If you are interested in adopting our Standards for your jurisdiction, please see our adoption and copyright information on the right hand side.

Our licensing activities generally fall into two main areas: permission and licence agreements.

Use of the IFRS Foundation's registered trade marks

If you would like to discuss using one of the Foundation's registered trade marks within your own product or service, please complete the licensee questionnaire form and send it to licences@ifrs.org. A member of the licensing team will be in contact within 30 days. Find more about our different registered trade marks.

The IFRS Foundation, including the IASB, is a stimulating and challenging place to work. We have around 150 staff, mostly based in London but with a small Asia-Oceania liaison office in Tokyo, drawn from around 30 nationalities covering roles in technical, operational, and support functions.

We undertake a wide range of consultation from a number of advisory bodies made up of accounting organisations and financial experts from around the world, and appoint new members on a regular basis.

As such, a wide range of opportunities are available from time to time to become involved in our work, whether as a member of our staff or through one of our advisory bodies.

The Asia-Oceania Office provides a dedicated, regional point of contact for stakeholders interested in, or affected by, the work of the IFRS Foundation and the International Accounting Standards Board.

The office serves as:

  • a dedicated contact in the region;
  • a regional base and research hub; and
  • a platform for deeper cooperation with regional stakeholders.
