IFRS Taxonomy 2009



On 2 April 2009, the IFRS Foundation published the final IFRS Taxonomy 2009.

The IFRS Taxonomy 2009 is a complete translation of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs) as of 1 January 2009 into  XBRL (eXtensible Business Reporting Language), a language that is used to communicate information between businesses.

Date issued

The taxonomy release data is equal to IFRSs issue date for the IFRSs published in the latest Bound Volume.

The IFRS Taxonomy 2009 release date is set to 2009-04-01.

The issue date for IFRSs not included in the latest Bound Volume is different (for example the issue date for IFRS 3 is 2007-03-01 and relates to the latest Bound Volume where IFRS 3 was published, and the date for IFRS 7 is 2009-03-01 and relates to the amendments published).

Scope

The IFRS Taxonomy reflects the recent updates in the IFRSs and represents stable platform for future changes in the IFRSs.

International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs) including International Accounting Standards (IASs) and Interpretations as issued at 1 January 2009 are included. Additionally, IFRS 3 and amendments to IFRS 7are also included.
