The Trustees of the IFRS Foundation usually meet for two days four times a year. Reflecting the IFRS Foundation's objective to promote the use of a single set of global standards across the world, the Trustees' meetings are held at venues all over the world.
The Trustees make their formal decisions by voting. The quorum for meetings is 60 per cent of the Trustees present in person or by telecommunications, and each Trustee has one vote. Decisions are taken by simple majority vote on matters other than termination of the appointment of a Trustee, amendments to the Constitution, or minor variations made in the interest of feasibility of operations, in which cases a 75 per cent majority is required.
All meetings or the Trustees apart from administrative sessions are held in public and webcast. Recordings of past meetings can be accessed via the 'Trustees meetings audio playback' section on the left hand side menu.
