Sue Lloyd will become a member of the IASB from 1 January 2014. Ms Lloyd currently serves as a Senior Director of Technical Activities for the IASB. In this capacity, she is responsible for leading the technical staff in the development of new IFRSs, in particular leading the current agenda. Prior to this role, Ms Lloyd served as the IASB’s Director of Capital Markets, with responsibility for the IASB’s work to reform the accounting for financial instruments.
Ms Lloyd previously worked for the IASB between 2002 and 2004, serving as a project manager for the Consolidation and Leases project. Between leaving the IASB in 2004 and re-joining in 2009, Ms Lloyd held various senior positions in investment banking for JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs. Prior to relocating to the United Kingdom in 2002 Ms Lloyd worked in investment banking in Australasia. She is a former member of the Australian Accounting Standards Board and graduated from the University of Auckland with an M.Comm (Hons) in Accounting and Finance.
