Vacancies
The IFRS Foundation is an unusual, stimulating and challenging place to work. We have around 120 staff, mainly based in London, drawn from 25 nationalities covering roles in technical, operational, and support functions.
Most of our roles are permanent appointments; some are filled on a one or two year basis; some are undertaken by secondees from industry or the accounting profession; a small number by academics on sabbatical. Read more about secondments
About secondmentments
Approximately 10% of the IFRS Foundation’s staff are seconded from other organisations. Examples include:
- Practice Fellows – these individuals are seconded from the larger accounting firms, often due to their knowledge or expertise in specific technical accounting subjects, for periods of up to two years, in order to bring up-to-date knowledge of the practical application and implementation of accounting standards in professional practice. Individuals proposed by the firms are subject to our standard selection process and standard rates are paid to the firms for seconding them.
- Industry Fellows – similar to Practice Fellows, these individuals come from major international companies, usually for up to two years, in order to bring up-to-date knowledge of the practical application and implementation of accounting standards in the corporate world. Individuals proposed by the firms are subject to our standard selection process and standard rates are paid to the firms for seconding them.
- Visiting Fellows – these individuals are sent by government departments or national standard setters for periods of up to two years, and are paid for by their home employer. The purpose of the secondment is for the secondee to gain an insight into, and understanding of, the IASB, its functioning and its processes so that the secondment might serve to aid communications, increase co-operation, and strengthen the relationship between the IASB and the seconding body.
If you are interested in exploring any such opportunities, you should raise this within your own organisation in the first instance.
On this page we list any current vacancies that are available. There are certain roles that we regularly recruit for, such as Technical Managers (5 years experience required), Assistant Technical Managers (3 years experience) and Technical Associates – for which we particularly welcome applications from suitably qualified individuals. Full details are provided whenever we have a specific vacancy, so please do not send speculative CVs at other times.
Owing to the volume of applications received, we are not able to respond to each one individually so if you have not heard from us within a month of the closing date for a particular vacancy you should assume that you have not been successful on that occasion.
