Members of the IASB
The International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) is an independent group of 15 experts with an appropriate mix of recent practical experience of standard-setting, or of the user, accounting, academic or preparer communities.
Members are appointed by the Trustees. Following a decision at the January 2009 Trustees meeting, the IASB will be expanded to 16 members by 2012.
Members of the IASB are selected and considered for reappointment through an open and rigorous process, which includes advertising vacancies and consulting relevant organisations.
