IASC Foundation Launches New XBRL Website
28 February 2006
Today the IASC Foundation (IASCF) launched a new website to showcase the pioneering work of the IASCF’s XBRL team. The IASCF regards this new website as an integral tool for keeping interested parties aware of all recent XBRL developments.
Commenting on the launch of the new website, Kurt Ramin, Chairman of XBRL International said,
“It is important that we keep the XBRL and wider community aware of all current and impending developments. We hope our new website will go along way to achieve this goal and become the centre for communication of IFRS XBRL activity.”
The IFRS XBRL taxonomy is maintained, improved and used by the many IFRS jurisdictions extending it to their local reporting requirements. Currently, there are more than 90 IFRS countries in the world extending the taxonomy.
