|Amendment to IFRS 1 (Government Loans) On 13 March 2012 the IASB published an amendment to IFRS 1 First-time Adoption of International Financial Reporting Standards . The amendments, dealing with loans received from governments at a below market rate of interest, give first-time adopters of IFRSs relief from full retrospective application of IFRSs when accounting for these loans on transition. It provides the same relief to first-time adopters as is granted to existing preparers of IFRS financial statements when applying IAS 20 Accounting for Government Grants and Disclosure of Government Assistance . The amendments are effective for annual periods beginning on or after 1 January 2013, with earlier application permitted.|
|Amendments to IFRS 10, IFRS 11 and IFRS 12 Consolidated Financial Statements, Joint Arrangements and Disclosure of Interests in Other Entities: Transition Guidance On 28 June 2012 the IASB published amendments to clarify the transition guidance in IFRS 10 Consolidated Financial Statements. The amendments also provide additional transition relief in IFRS 10, IFRS 11 Joint Arrangements and IFRS 12 Disclosure of Interests in Other Entities, limiting the requirement to provide adjusted comparative information to only the preceding comparative period. Furthermore, for disclosures related to unconsolidated structured entities, the amendments will remove the requirement to present comparative information for periods before IFRS 12 is first applied. The effective date of the amendments is annual periods beginning on or after 1 January 2013, which is aligned with the effective date of IFRS 10, 11 and 12.|
