IFRS Conference Mexico City
6 and 7 October, Camino Real Polanco Mexico Hotel, Mexico City, Mexico
The conference brings together leaders in financial reporting from the private sector, regulatory bodies and members of the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB), as well as accounting professionals and others with an interest in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
The conference offers a unique opportunity to be updated by members and staff of the IASB on its active projects as well as on its future plans. IASB members and staff will set out how they are responding to the feedback received, and how they expect the IASB work plan to evolve.
Presenters include Hans Hoogervorst (IASB Chairman), Ian Mackintosh (IASB Vice Chairman), IASB members—Amaro Gomes, Darrel Scott and Mary Tokar—and a number of senior IASB technical staff, and other IFRS experts. Separate expert panel discussions, dedicated to the topical financial reporting issues of IFRS Disclosures and Financial Instruments, will take place during the conference.
Technical break out sessions conducted by IASB members and their technical staff will provide a forum to discuss major projects on the IASB’s active agenda in more detail.
In addition, a pre-conference special interest session—Fair Value Measurement and Other Cross-cutting Measurement Issues—includes an interactive discussion in which the panellists will respond to prepared questions posed by the session chairman and impromptu questions from the audience about fair value measurement and other cross-cutting measurement issues in IFRS.
