Speech by Ian Mackintosh: 'Are truly global standards achievable?'

Ian Mackintosh, IASB memberIn a speech today, Ian Mackintosh, Vice-Chairman of the IASB, argued that the highly interconnected nature of national capital markets presents a compelling case for a global language of financial reporting. He also described how the IASB is working with the entire standard-setting community to advance the quality and use of IFRS around the world.

The speech was delivered at the IFRS Joint IFRS Foundation and SAICA IFRS Conference in Johannesburg, South Africa.
