Vincent Papa is a Director with the CFA Institute’s policy arm, Standards for Financial Market Integrity, focusing on Financial Reporting Policy.
His responsibilities include representing investor interests regarding financial reporting proposals put forward by the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) and the US Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB).
Mr Papa represents the CFA Institute on the IFRS Advisory Council. The CFA Institute’s mission is to lead investment professionals globally by setting the highest standards of ethics, education and professional excellence.
He has served on the IASB's Capital Market Advisory Council (CMAC) and on the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group’s (EFRAG) user panel committees.
Prior to joining CFA Institute he worked as an investment analyst with Observatory Capital. He has also worked at Accenture and KPMG in Johannesburg, South Africa, in management consultancy and auditing roles and for three years as an auditor in Nairobi.
He holds a PhD in Finance and Accounting, a Masters in Finance, an MBA and a BSc in Electrical Engineering.
