Ms Min Yang currently serves as the Director-General of the Accounting Regulatory Department of the Ministry of Finance in the People’s Republic of China.
She represents the Ministry of Finance, People’s Republic of China, on the IFRS Advisory Council.
She is also a member of the China Accounting Standards Committee, Vice-Chairman and Secretary-General of the China Accounting Informationization Committee, Vice-President of the Accounting Society of China, Vice-Director-General of the China Master of Professional Accounting Committee and a member of the Executive Committee of the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
From 1978 to 2010, Ms. Yang spent her career in the Financial Department of Industry, Communication and Commerce and the Legal Department of the Ministry of Finance. She was responsible for the creation and the revision of many statutory documents, including Chinese corporation finance regulations and Chinese Accounting Standards for Business Enterprises, and the supervision of the financial positions of Chinese state-owned enterprises.
