Michael Bradbury

Michael Bradbury, IFRS Advisory CouncilTerm expires: December 2014

Michael Bradbury is a professor in accounting at Massey University, New Zealand.

Mr Bradbury represents the International Association for Accounting Education & Research (IAAER) on the IFRS Advisory Council.  The IAAER is a global not-for-profit organisation whose mission is to promote excellence in accounting education and research on a worldwide basis and to maximise the contribution of accounting academics to the development and maintenance of high quality, globally recognised standards of accounting practice.

Mr Bradbury has also served on the Financial Reporting Standards Board of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of New Zealand and on the International Financial Reporting Interpretations Committee of the International Accounting Standards Board.  In 1998 he was made a Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants.  In 2001 he received the AFAANZ Outstanding Contribution to Practice Award and in 2002 he was made a Life Member.  His research interests are in financial reporting and financial analysis.
