Dr Steve Lim
Dr Steve Lim is an Advisor to the Korea Accounting Standards Board (KASB) and represents KASB on the IFRS Advisory Council. He is currently a Professor of Accounting at the University of Seoul.
Dr Lim has previously served as Chair and Vice-Chair of the KASB and Vice-Chair of the Asian-Oceanian Standard-Setters Group. He has also served as Chief Accountant of the Financial Supervisory Service of Korea. He was an External Director in KB Financial Group and KB Kookmin Bank in Korea as well as in Korea Ratings Corporation. He held a number of Board positions including several with the Korea Institute of Certified Public Accountants where he was also Chair of Examination Committee.
Dr Lim has a PhD in Business Administration (Accounting) from University of Minnesota, U.S., a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (Accounting) from Pennsylvania State University, a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Seoul National University.
