Sandra J. Peters was appointed to the IFRS Interpretations Committee in July 2012 for a term of three years, and was re-appointed for a further three years in July 2015.
She is Head of Financial Reporting Policy at CFA Institute, where she leads a global team analyzing and developing policy positions related to significant financial reporting, accounting and auditing issues worldwide.
Prior to this she was Vice President and Corporate Controller at insurance provider MetLife. Ms. Peters began her career at KPMG, where she rose to the level of Partner specializing in Financial Services. She is a graduate of the University of Nebraska and holds an MBA from Indiana University. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst and Certified Public Accountant.
